People have different styles. Every photographer does even when they are somewhat imitating others.

I have favorites of things I don't ordinarily shoot because quite often they're in locations I will never get to or they're things I think, "Holy crap! Why didn't I consider that?" Some of my favorites are of things I do shoot or styles that may be somewhat similar and are so good I can't not favorite the image.

Just depends on the person I guess.

"beauty is in the eye of the beholder" people like different things. You might have an amazing pic of a bee, but somebody else is allergic to bees, so they don't like the pic because there is a bee in it. :)
