We have a two sided kitchen sink, and neither side drains properly(it drains really, really slow. If at all). When we turn our dishwasher on as well, about 50% of the time the water will come through the holes in the sink. We are not really sure what to do as we have tried the following.
Draino/Liquid "plumber" type solutions. It seemed to work initially but after a few tries it clearly hasn't worked.
We have tried plunging both sides of the sink. This hasn't worked at all(and I've recently read that plunging has no effect on removing the backup in the pipes).
We have tried dumping boiling water down both sides of the sink, this has had no effect either.
We have tried taking about the pipes under the sink, and they in fact look pretty clean. Although we can't seem to remove one of the PVC pipes that's to the back and slightly left of the garbage disposal(where the blades are located). The pipes are just too tight. We believe that might be the problem.
We have a 25' drain snake, we have tried to use this, however, no one in my family has any plumbing knowledge so we don't exactly know if we are doing this right, or if we are going far enough into the pipes. Is there a special technique to using one of these drain snakes?
We don't really have the extra money to hire a plumber at the moment, so we are definitely looking for some "home solutions" with the tools we have, and hopefully with some knowledge that I can find here.
Any help and information will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!!!

Steve, If you want to get your kitchen running properly, this is what you'll need to do. It's great that you have tried all you have but you really need to call a good, local, & competent sewer & drain service to come out to snake the kitchen sink drain from where it goes into the wall, DOWN. Somewhere from that point down, is where the problem is. They also have the right equipment to clean your drain properly. What you have used probably isn't big enough or long enough. Otherwise, the problem will only get worse and eventually, it won't run at all and you may overflow you sink with the dishwasher water. Good luck.
You need to take the waste apart staring from the disposal dischargeto the line that runs into the wall. The "U" shaped part is called a P-trap. That is where most of the clogs are. When you take the P-trap aprt, there is some wate in lines, so have a bowl handy to avoid spillage when removing. If you've checked all of the waste and the P-trap and they are clear, you need to run your snake into thewaste line that runs into the wall. Feed about 4"-6" at a time turning constantly. If you've done that and run the entire snake into the line, you may need a bigger snake. You can rent one at a Home Depot for 1/2 day for about $40. That is a motor driven one.
Liquid Plumber and like products are pretty much useless. If they worked Plumbers would use them. Like most people, you may be putting things into the disposal you shouldn't (potato peels, coffee, stringy things like celery)
Try looking under the floor where the pipes are if you can. there should be a clean out cap at the end of the run. if not for like 5 bucks put one there with some glue and a few parts. white is called pvc . black is abs. do not mix different from what is there. run the snake down the pipe afterwards. mount the new clean out on it's side rotated slightly up so you can work on it without it dripping. hope this helps.
you need to open plumbing part under sink like U shape and cleaned is so easy job in some case may you need to replace old plumbing if made my metal is rust and can not pass water or may is small size drian you have ? send long cable to clean your pipe forst include hot water and soap in
