Has anyone out there tried those "gender predictor kits" sold on various websites such as http://babygendermentor.com/default.php or http://www.tellmepinkorblue.com/
Just wondering if they're worth the $250 lab fees.

I haven't personally taken those tests, but I've been on a determining gender message board on baby center, and some of those women have. It looks like it's maybe 80-90% accurate...when they actually give you conclusive results Some of the women got calls from the company saying their results were inconclusive. For $250, I'd expect a 100% answer, you know? Or at least 99%. There is a cheaper alternative...inelligender (www.intelligender.com)...which is a urine test whereas I believe the others are blood tests, but it looks like intelligender is only something like 70% accurate. I really think they're all somewhat of a scam, but I did intelligender because it was only $40 and I kept in mind it was just for fun. I'm not trusting anything but my ultrasound! But I'll give you the link to the message board so you can check it out, see for yourself how these tests are going. Good luck, and have a happy pregnancy!
Wow, an amnio will do the same thing if you ask..they can test the babies DNA that floats around in the fluid, or an ultra sound which insurance usually pays for (they are around$2000 each time you get one) I don't think I would go through some company who claims they can predict a babys sex with a "kit".
There are only 3 ways to find out the gender of your baby: Ultrasound (which is only about 90% accurate), an amnio, and delivery. Every other method is either a wives tale or a scam. Don't trust it.
If you want to spend the money they are prob very highly accurate, but I think it'd be better just do get a few ultrasounds done to keep making sure u know what the baby is, so you don't have to spend the extra money
i wouldnt trust it, probably just a scam, get a ultra sound, they are more accurate.
