When having a discussion or heated conversation, one should stick to the topic at hand. Not try and drag in any tools they feel useful to degrade the other. It does NOT make you more right or correct to become louder and obnoxious. It makes you look childish and out of control.
I do not need to name call to feel right or better.
I agree with Neo. I often use peoples own words and ideas against them. A word spoke can not be taken back. It can only be apologized for. Have I dropped an occasional F-bomb? Yes. Did I regret yet? Yes. But if someone truly makes a sound moral argument. I will definitely change my mind.
No. I did when I was a young teen, though. My dad and I would argue for HOURS about things, and once in a while I'd whip out an insult when he frustrated me.
Now I never do that, of course unless I'm here. It's expected here. =^-*=
Nah... I usually don't argue unless I know I'm right and if I'm "losing" an arguement, I just back off so I don't look like a stubborn dumbass.
HOWEVER! If someone sits there, flinging insults at me (depending at who it is) I will do it back. And I will break them down. Badly. Just coz I usually know what gets to people.

Name calling & insults are a immature way of winning an argument. I would just walk away.

If I start throwing insults around it means I've lost my temper. I can lose arguments gracefully but I can get irate sometimes too.
I don't start arguments that are stupid and pointless I try and discuss things and no I don't resort to childish name calling.

On here?
It's difficult sometimes NOT to call into question their lack of reasoning skills.
Yes. However my purpose is to troll and I had no intention of arguing from the beginning.
No, only immature people do that. I'm mature, so I say, "Let's just agree to disagree."
