My german shepherd has been having bouts of vomiting and diarrhea lately. Today i took him to the vet and he was a very healthy weight he didn't have a temperature and eyes mouth ears all looked great. The vet recommended science diet sensitive stomach for adult dogs. Have any of you had luck?? or tried this product before. I know he has a sensitive stomach and hopefully this will work. Also he has been on Flagcyl a few times to help with the issue.

Avoid ingredients like corn, wheat and chicken by-products. These ingredients are difficult to digest and can cause digestive upset like vomiting and diarrhea. Try to choose a food with a single protein source like fish since fish is one of the easier proteins to digest. I would suggest something like Natural Choice Sensitive stomach in fish.
Hope he feels better soon,

It is not unheard of for GSD's to have irritable stomachs.
I would first switch him to a more soothing digestive food, like Natural Balance LID Lamb and Brown Rice, or Potato and Rabbit, or Sweet Potato and Bison.
If your dog is eating too fast, that can cause vomiting. Try feeding him from a muffin tin to slow him down, or break his meals down to 3 or 4 a day so he's not getting so much at once.
Another thing to try is baking sweet potatoes. Mash them (don't add anything) and mix a couple of tablespoons into his kibble with each meal. Don't throw out the skins, my dogs think they're the best treats ever.
When we had a GSD, he would ALWAYS vomit and have diarrhea if he ever drank water from the hose or any puddles. Guaranteed he would get sick if you turned the hose on and he went after the spray from it. Same water as in the house, and the hose was always emptied after use so there was no stagnant water in it. We don't know if it was the excitement of the spray or something else, but he was sick every single time. He also couldn't eat potatoes, regular white potatoes. He always barfed them up.
You can also offer him cut up raw carrots, blueberries, seeded apples, etc. They may help.
Take him back a running stomach in dogs is not a good sign
