Alan Quartermaine is Jason's REAL father from an affair with Susan Moore. She died and Monica took him in as her son when he was just a baby (I think she was still married to Alan). After he had the car accident because of his brother AJ, he was in a coma, woke up from the come not remembering anything about who or what he was. He had a complete personality change. He became violent, and much like the way Michael is acting now. At that time, Sonny or Luke gave him a job parking cars at a night club they owned. Jason also opened his owned a bike repair shop and rode his motocycle all over the place. He took Lucky in and let him work there when he was a teenager. Since he really didn't remember being a "Quartermaine", he took the name of "Morgan" which was his grandmother Lila Quatermaine's maiden name. His loyality to Sonny after all these years is because Sonny accepted him the way he was and he eventually became wrapped up in the mob as their enforcer.

The Quartermaines have continuously tried to get Jason to remember who he was and to come back into the fold with the family, which he never has done.

This all happened a long, long time ago and my memory is not a good as it used to be, but I think this is pretty close to what happened back then.

If Jason was a Quartermaine how did he turn into a mobster? What made him change? What do the Quartermaines think of him now?

Thanks for answering these questions, I've been watching GH on and off and I was surprised that Jason was actually a Quartermaine.

Jason was born Jason Morgan Quartermaine. He was the biological son of Susan Moore and Alan Quartermaine from an affair that they had. Susan died soon after Jason was born and Monica adopted him and chose to raise him as her own son. Jason was every parent's dream child. He was smart, responsible, dutiful and on his way to becoming a doctor just like his parents. His brother A.J., on the other hand, was most parent's worst nightmare. He was an irresponsible alcoholic who was always causing trouble and scandals for his family.

One night A.J. was upset and had been drinking. He went and got behind the wheel of his cousin Ned's convertible and started to take off. Wanting to stop his brother from drunk driving Jason jumped in the car. A.J. hit a tree and Jason was thrown from the car and hit his head on a rock. Ned initially took the blame and said that he had been the one driving the car but eventually the truth that it had been A.J. driving came out.

In the hospital Jason was in a coma for a while and when he finally awakened he had permanent brain damage and no recollection of his past life whatsoever. As the Quatrermaines tried to remind him of who he used to be he got more and more agitated because he didn't feel any connection to that old Jason that they described. Once out of the hospital he acted out by doing stupid things like train surfing and riding his new motorcycle into the Quartermaine mansion. The only two family members who accepted the new Jason were his grandmother Lila and his sister Emily.

He also found acceptance from Robin Scorpio who was still grieving over the loss of her boyfriend Stone. She befriended Jason and eventually pointed him in the direction of her friend Sonny Corinthos knowing that Sonny would accept Jason and give him some guidance that he desperately needed. Jason began to do small jobs for Sonny and eventually the two became like brothers. Jason changed his last name to Morgan, turned his back on the Quartermaines, and took on a larger role in Sonny's organization.

Jason is the illegitimate son of Alan Quartermaine and his mistress, Susan Moore. After Susan's murder, Alan brought Jason home to be raised under his roof. Initially, Monica was reluctant to welcome the motherless child into her home but eventually she grew to love him deeply. In many ways, Monica loved Jason more deeply than her own biological son, AJ.

By 1995, Jason found new love with Keesha Ward. During a spring break holiday in Paris, Jason and Keesha made love. It was the first time for both. Their relationship flourished until one tragic night when everything changed in an instant. Intent on stopping AJ from driving drunk, Jason got into a car with his brother. The accident that followed left Jason with permanent brain damage and no memory whatsoever of his family or of Keesha. Jason couldn't stand the way people looked at him after the accident, always hoping to see some glint of recognition in his eyes. He pushed both his relatives and Keesha away, went to work for mobster Sonny Corinthos, and changed his name to Jason Morgan. His birthday, he would declare, wasn't the day he was born but the day of the accident.

Jason is the biological son of Alan Quartermaine he had an affair with Susan Moore, she was murdered and Monica adopted him, he became the shining example of a good Quartermaine he was following his parents into the medical field to be a doctor. in the mid 90s (like about 1996) Jason got into a car with a drunk AJ to stop him from drunk driving, AJ hit a tree and Jason was thrown from the car, sustaining irreversible brain damage and outburst of rage, unable to make any of the Quartermaine's happy by not remembering them (only Lila and Emily accepted him), Jason packed up and went to work for Sonny as his enforcer becoming the number one hit man, Jason dropped Quartermaine as his last name and went by his beloved Grandmother Lila's last name Morgan. He visited occasional the Quartermaine's to please Lila and Emily, though Edward still believes someday he'll return to the fold, believing he had true potential and blames Sonny for ruining his family by turning Jason into a mindless killer, stealing his great grandson Michael from his grandson AJ and seducing Emily. Now with most the Quartermaine's dead, seems their only a few left in Port Charles.

He was frustrated because everyone expected him to be the Jason before the accident and he wasn't. He eventually dropped Quatermaine as his last name and took Morgan. I think that the name Morgan has some connection to his biological mother (Susan Moore), she was Alan's mistress and that is how Jason came into existence. Monica is not his biological mother but she raised him right along with AJ as her own after his mother was murdered.

Jason was adopted by Alan and Monica Quartermaine after Jason's mom died of cancer I think if my memory serves me right. His last name is Morgan instead of Quatermaine cause that was the name his mom was.

In the early 90's Jason was fighting with AJ about something and Jason got into a bad car accident which made him loose his memory. Sonny took Jason under his wing when he didn't want to go back and live with the Quatermaines.

He been a mobster with Sonny ever since, gained his memory back, almost married a few times, ect.

The Quatermaines would love to take him back. he does visit every so often but I know Monica and Edward would take him back if he got out of the mob.
