I have mountain biked sense i could ride a bike (3yrs old) and im used to trails and getting over things easily, but i wanted to get into dirt jumping, i have done some jumps and modded my Specialized P.1 All Mountain to single gear and have done some three or four foot jumps with it, but now i really wanted to get a legit dirt jumping bike, what would be a nice bike to start out with, it doesn't have to be the best and preferably something that will last a couple beatings and flat landings. i was thinking the price range around $600.

Your not going to find any thing better then what you have for 600, i would just save your money and upgrade to a better fork something with at least 150mm travel.....when you can spend over 1500 or more you can get a much better bike.....but as for now that is one of the best bike for beginning jumpers
FMX is a mixture at the present time with the two strokes and four strokes. But in case your simply commencing out, i could pass with a a hundred twenty five two stroke. They are simpler to manage and transfer given that they're lighter. Your high-quality guess could typically be like an 04 cr a hundred twenty five. They are approximately the lightest two stroke. well good fortune
in the price range of $600 your best bet would be to buy a used bike, for that money you would not be able to get a any decent new bike. If you are going to look for a new bike checkout http://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/
