I have a somewhat hard lump under the skin on my arm, quite small and a little bit purple (not noticeable unless you're looking for it). The best I can find for something similar is a skin abcess, but from what I've found/seen this doesn't really fit the description. It appeared about 2 months ago, maybe longer, with no noticeable change (possibly slighty larger). Any ideas on what it is/what I should do?
Update:I know it's not an infected follicle since I've had one before. As for under or in, if it's in the skin, its very deep but I can't really tell one way or the other.

Is it IN the skin or UNDER the skin? In the skin could be an abscess of infected hair follicle or sebaceous gland. Under the skin could be a cyst of any variety or a calcium deposit. It's really hard to tell over the internet, though.
nicely, it is hardly an emergency. fire ant bites are not gentle, yet they do no longer look to be lifestyles threatening till the baby is allergic. be sure the baby is would not have worked respiratory, freshen up the sleeper, and freshen up the room. they could be a pair of searchers that picked up some spilt milk or spit up. cleansing up will do away with any chemical trails the ants left for the colony to %. up. to help with the bites make a paste of baking soda, lemon juice, and vinegar. prepare the paste to the baby's hand and allow to dry sufficient so as that it's going to peal off cleanly. this might develop the poison out of the exterior and neutralize it. do purely no longer permit the baby get any of the mixture in that is mouth because of the fact he/she would be in a position to no longer in user-friendly terms like the flavor plenty.
