There is a male friend of mine whom I've really fallen for. We met in my country and were friends for about six months. Then I moved to his home country. A little while later, he returned to his home country. (We both knew about each other's travel plans.)

I've posted on Y!A before, but I'm still at a loss. We had several online conversations that took place over several days. (One post per day from each of us.) He ended our first conversation saying that he would like to meet me if he had a chance. I gave a short response saying that it would be good to see him again. A month went by and he didn't seem to be doing much of anything. I started up the conversation again and just was talking about everyday things. Then, that conversation sort of fizzled out and he hasn't responded to my post that I made a week ago.

I thought he was just ignoring me. However, I can still see that he looks at my pictures online on one of my social networking sites (and has done so ever since we began talking online).

Was I wrong for just making small talk and not mention anyhing about visiting each other? Was he actually waiting for me to explicitly invite him over? I invited several of my other friends (female friends) to visit because they didn't expressly tell me that they wanted to see me--like he did. I guess I thought he would just tell me when he was ready to visit since he had already mentioned this.
