Any opinions on which one i should take is helpful. Which one will benefit me in the long run? Which sounds better on a college application? Anything. :)
Either would be fine on a college application but, if you plan to major in a scientific discipline, I would suggest taking chemistry. A year or so of chemistry is required for most all scientific majors while geology is usually an elective. HS chemistry would build a good foundation for college chemistry.
Word to the wise...er, foolish. Chemistry or geology is not about what benefits you or any one else. It is about what a potential expert can contribute to others and be paid for accordingly in return. How can anyone but you know what you should do, if anything? But both sound very harmonious to me, if you must know.
