Since it's Summer vacation, I've been getting up in the morning around 11-12 without setting an alarm, and I go to sleep REALLY late. (about 2-3 A.M) I'd like to get in the habit of the early to bed, early to rise routine, so I have more time in my day, either way, I have the same time, its just the sunlight lasts longer this way...anyway, How can I achieve this?

Sleep behaviour is a very hard thing to change because it effects most people lives. Seeing that you are on holidays you should be able to do it with minimal effects. The easiest way is to pull an all nighter stay up all day and then go to bed at about 6pm the next day. you will then sleep 10 - 15 hours and it will be morning still. This will mean that by the time it is 10 at night you will be tired and thus our sleep pattern will change.
If you do this then make sure you have nothing on the next day. Also you may have to do this twice. Make sure you never take sleeping pills to do it either because they will do the opposite and totally screw your sleeping patter up.
hope this helps
I am a chronic night owl, and make myself sick with worry that I will never be able to change. It is all about self-discipline, and I know that, but old habits die excrutiatingly hard.
What you have to do in order to change your sleep schedule is stick with a consistent bedtime. No matter what else is going on, always be in bed by that time, say midnight. Set your alarm for whatever time, say 7:00.
It will take you two to three full weeks to feel normal again, and at first you will have a very hard time falling asleep at the new time. Your body will resist since it is used to a different schedule. Lie there in the bed. Eventually you will go to sleep. Avoid napping. This will only serve to throw your schedule off again. You may walk around like a zombie for a couple days due to lack of sleep, but all that means is falling asleep at the designated time will become easier that next night.
Be consistent, that is the only way to make a change.
go 2 bed at like 4 am then wake up around 12 pm, and ull get more tired and probably go 2 bed around 8, 9, or 10 pm. do this for one day then you shud be on schedule.
