Cannot believe some of the answers here. Robin Hood is a legend. A folk-hero. There's no evidence he ACTUALLY existed, except in stories and songs. However, the only way of someone's heroic deeds to be recorded in a population where 99% could not read or write were by telling stories or singing songs, so it'll never be proved if he was rela or not. The story says that Robin Hood was buried in the grounds of Kirklees Abbey, Mirfield, Yorkshire. This is where Robin went with Little John to get medical attention. Robin was apparently feeling particularly unwell, and following the medical advise of the time, went to get bled at the Abbey. The Prioress betrays Robin and lets too much blood, allowing him to bleed to death. With his final strength, Hood apparently fires an arrow from his sick-bed, and tells Little John to bury him where it falls. There is great controversy over this final part, as the supposed gravestone (which is very dubious) is a considerable distance from the Abbey, and an archer would have to have exceptionally favourable weather, wind, and immense strength, as well as top-quality weapons to fire an arrow that distance. Hardly the situation for someone bleeding to death, and lying in a bed. Anyway, that's how the story says he died.
he goes to a healer woman with either will scarlet or little john (varies) because he was ill. now the story again varies on whether is was the healer woman to bled him more than she should have (a common practice) for pay.or if it was her brother who stabbed robin hood in some revenge.either way he dies from blood loss in the end
When Robin Hood was lying on his deathbed with his men gathered in the room, he made one final request.
He asked for his longbow and a single arrow then told them "Bury me wherever this arrow lands".
He looked out through the open window towards the endless green of the Forest of Sherwood then, with failing strength he drew the great bow and loosed an arrow, before falling back dead from his exertions.
His men respected his dying wish and laid him to rest where the arrow had landed.
Maria (I can't reproduce all those wild characters) is right. He was bled to death. His killer was an abbess, who like many prominent church people of the time had well-connected relatives (the Friars were essentially a group of Church Radicals so it makes sense Friar Tuck would be with Robin). When her brother found out Robin had gone to her for treatment, he requested she bleed him to death and she obliged him.
