ive been taking xanax for about a week straight and im going to have a pre employment saliva drug test at ralphs in about a week. would xanax be detectable?
The half life of xanax generally ranges from 6 to 12 hours, depending on the individual. That means that in 6-12 hours, half of the xanax has left your body. The rest slowly trickles out of your system.
However, to get to the point where xanax has completely left your system, you have to multiply the half life by 7. I know this sounds strange, but several different pharmacists gave me the same answer.
So for Xanax to completely leave your system, it would take roughly 42 to 84 hours. So if your drug test is in about a week, you should be safe. The drug should be out of your system in 4 days at the most.
