1.65 is 1 and 65/100, or 1 and 13/20. Since 10/20 is a half (10/20=1/2), you know that you have at least 1 and a half inches and you just have to figure out how much past that you need to go. Just 3/20 remains, and that is a little less than one quarter (5/20) but more than one eight... So, to find 1.65 inches on the ruler we could go out 1 inch, then go 1/2 inches more, then another 1/8 inches, and finally add just a smudge more.

Only if the ruler has 100 graduation marks between
the one and two inch marks.
Then you could count off 65 marks after the one, and
that would be the 1.65 inch mark.
If your problem was: find 1.25 inches on a regular ruler
which generally has 16 marks between numbers, then
1.25 would be equal to 1 1/4...or 4 marks from the one.
Keeping in mind that most rulers that have inches are divided into 1/8ths, 1/16ths, 1/32nds...
1 and 5/8 inches is 1.625in
1 and 21/32 inches is 1.65625in
hope that helps
Pretty close to 1-5/8" I took 5 and divided it by 8 to get .625
First find one then go up half then go to a little line congrates 1.65
get a smaller ruler or about the size from knuckle to knuckle on the same finger
1.65 in × 2.54 cm/inch = 4.191 cm
Yes. Its a little more than 1.5 on the ruler.......
