Well, I have an amazing relationship with my dad and I've crushed on a lot of male teachers in my life. I find that it's usually because they're more intellectual than the boys around you and more mature. I've always liked older guys (my boyfriend is 19 and I'm about to turn 17 in a few days), so I never thought this was unusual. Don't act on it, of course, because that's illegal on SO many levels and you'll actually get your teacher fired and put in prison if anyone finds out.
There are many reasons why girls like older men. Some do have bad relationships with their fathers and are looking for a father figure in their life, but they view their interest as attraction. But there are also other factors like intelligence, life experience, lack of awkwardness (most teenage boys are awkward and/or annoying as hell), lack of immaturity, and, if you're into older styles of music and movies and such, similar interests. For some, there's the lure of sexual experience, but that's actually pretty rare. There's also the respect that teachers give and the fact that they'll listen to you without judging you the way your peers do.
I'm not telling you to, like, go up and say "I fancy you, take your trousers off." In fact, it's best not to say anything to him. Because you both can get in trouble. But don't be afraid to like people. You discover more things about yourself and what you want out of life that way.
That COULD be true, but it's not ALWAYS true. Many girls get their sense of esteem and self-worth from their father, and it affects their relationship with other men for the rest of their lives. That's another reason why family is so important.
We don't know enough about you to tell in this case, but crushes on a teacher are very common. That's nothing to worry about in itself.
But if you DO have "father issues"... be careful how you react to attention from older boys and men. Don't put yourself in a situation you may later regret. Sorry to be heavy on this, but I grew up without a father and I lost my cherry to a grown man at 13. It was not a BAD experience, but it could have been. Are the two things related? I don't know, but a therapist could probably have a good time with it!
Noooooo!!!! I have a bad relationship with my dad and I never fancied my teachers, I'm 15 also. However, I do have a friend who fancies practically every teacher, but she is just weird (God I hope u r not Emily). She doesn't have a good relationship with boys at all, wont even say hi or anything. Maybe that's it, the boys u no, u hate. Teachers give you respect and maybe that's what you like, or it could be hormones - the excuse my friend tells us lol!
nah its not because you dont have a relationship with your father, although it may. It's just because your at the age or a lil after it when you start to mature and become sexually attracted to someone.(Romance) In your case you find your teacher to be hot. But im sorry to burst your bubble more than likely its not going to happen. Your friends and you can talk about him but its only going to be crush and soon you'll get over it, it's usually normal in teens, especially girls.
not sure... dont get involved wit sum1 older than you! i think dat it
might just be all older men if you dont gotta good relationship wit dad but stay away from them!!! it's gross and they can get arrested and ewwww!!! but if hes a young teacher then i can understand it cuz i used to think my math teacher wuz hot but still it's gross
Sure, and it has nothing to do with having a good or bad relationship with your father - let's just hope he's attractive. I hope you're not home-schooled...

Yes, that can be one rationalization. Or maybe you just really admire him and you're looking forward to a future when you can date men like him.

No it's not true and a teacher can get in serious trouble for this kind of thing so put it out of your mind and look at guys closer to your own age.
Get serious Hannah, most girls fancy their male teachers (boys fancy their female teachers), this is just an illusion that they go through.
