The exact same thing happens to me, i am the same way, super quiet. When someone does that to me and they same something like "what are you going to do about it" i ignore them completely and just same "i don't see a reason to". Then i will walk away. Or maybe say something like "I don't feel the need to fight over something so pointless as to someone TRYING to be a bully" Those work for me, though i do like what the person above was talking about, yelling out it does put the spot on them:)
Write a statement about him at the vice principal's office. Do this before or after school as many teachers may see you as "dramatic" if you ask them to leave during class (not right, but just trying to save you from some embarassment if the teacher is stressed and doesn't notice what's going on.). Have your parent call or email the English teacher to ask for a seat change--they probably don't notice what's happening. Bullies are sneaky.
I would say do not do what the personal experience person above says to do. I am a teacher, and that will not be perceived well by administrators if he actually does decide to hit you. They will find some "witness" to make you have ISS, too. I would definitely listen to a parent request to move a student, though.
I dealt with the same problems last year, let me start by saying I'm very sorry. The best thing you can do is be aggressive. When I say be aggressive I mean be loud. If he says ''You going to hit me back now?'' or makes a smart *** comment to you, you need to yell VERY loudly (enough so the entire class/teachers or anyone else who is around can hear). Say something that will cause him to be the center of attention. Something like ''I'M SORRY Insert name, DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ME? Or HOWS ABOUT I PUNCH YOU SQUARE IN THE FACE? This will typically come as a surprise to bullies, especially if your the quite type, which I also happen to be. Looking back this is what I should have done with my problem, it might have made a difference. Try talking to a teacher also, this greatly helps. If It does come to a fight, stop beating him near death and don't be intimidated. however, make sure he throws the first punch, otherwise it will backfire on you. And once again I'm sorry and good luck.
defend your self and hit the son of *****.
Report him to police for harassment. :]
