Impulse disorder origin?
I have trichotilliomania (comsulsive hair pulling) and i started puiing around three years of age. i finally found a med that helps (imipramine) but what causes impulse disorders?

The exact cause is unknown, However, as the generic answer goes, biological and environmental factors likely play a role. It's also important to point out that trichotilliomania has been reclassified in DSM-5 and with Obsessive-Compulse And Related Disorders: it is no longer considered an impulse control disorder.
It's just your neurological make up for whatever reason. It's not within your control!
