intermitten engine stumble?
1995 olds cutlass supreme 3100 eng.
engine will stumble intermittently, only when warmed up, if I watch the rpm gauge it jumps up and back down quickly ,it will do this while driving and sometimes die at the next stop,but starts right up and will run fine . it always happens after I have driven somewhere and stopped for hour or so then when I Irestart and drive it again is when the stumble occurs within 5 minutes of driving, never happens on first run. the only trouble code I get have ever gotten is 77, but the egr has been changed, along with map,tps, and fuel-pressure reg. IAC replaced and cleaned and egr port.would the egr still cause this ?

My '90 Cutlass Supreme ran just as crappy as yours. It also has a 3.1l v-6. I cleaned the egr ports, intake, throttle body, swapped out the TPS and idle speed motor, and it made no improvement. I checked for vacuum leaks and found none. I then cleaned the PCV valve with some carb cleaner, and the car ran better than ever. Either clean yours or spend 5 bucks on a new one. I'm almost 100% sure this will cure the problem.
The crank sensor could be sending a bad signal when hot or possibly the injectors need to be cleaned. There are many possibilities which include plugs, plug wires and ignition coils also. Good luck.
I had a 92 olds bravada do the same, it was a vaccum leak and a bad MAP sensor combination.
