Pete Doherty is not gay. Many band members and musicians kiss other men just for the fun of it. Bands such as The Strokes and Muse do this all the time, but this doesn't mean they are gay, as most of these bands have girlfriends/wives/children. Pete Doherty was together with Kate Moss, so yeah, he's definately not gay.
