Well not really good, but what I mean is do you ever see good hallucinations? Like your dead grandmother coming to comfort you when you are feeling down or something (in a good way I mean not a scary way!)? Or is it always horrible things you see and hear like the devil telling you to do something bad and being paranoid?

Sometimes the hallucinations and delusions are "good" in the sense you mean... I know someone who hears voices.. sometimes they say nice things to her but other times they say horrible things and tell her to hurt or kill herself. I also know someone who took a trip flying through the universe.... said it was marvelous.....
yes schizophrenics can hallucinate good things, people they consider friends etc... i think it has a lot to do with their mindset. they are all things that the person creates subconsciously, so if they are generally miserable, i would imagine they would have darker hallucinations... but if they are more positive, i would think it would be the oposite... there is no way to know that for sure. just speculation.
To answer your question briefly, schizophrenia can produce "good" as well as "bad" results: the hallucinations and such which often result from this brain disorder, can be comforting, as you describe, or they can be disturbing: it varies a lot!
Well, it's never a good thing for the person experiencing it. Frankly, if a person has schizophrenia (unless it's undiagnosed or left unchecked), the person is likely to be on medication to control it.
