Is underage drinking in Cancun easy?
I am 15 years old and I am going with two of my friends who are also 15. Two of our Dads are going to be there and they are both okay with drinking. We are staying at the Krystal and we are wondering how easy it will be to drink. We are going from March 23-29 so prime spring break time. How easy is it for us to get into bars/ clubs around town too? I think we are all bringing ID's that says that we are 18 too.

In Mexico your ID is your passport. If you show a fake ID and are then asked for your passport, your screwed. You are supposed to carry your passport on you. I always carry a scanned copy, and lock my passport up at the resort. If your fathers are OK with you drinking, they will have to provide it to you. The resorts and clubs are getting pretty strict now. Some clubs have been fined and lost their licenses, and others closed down for serving minors. Anyone being caught serving alcohol to a minor at a resort will be fired on the spot. It is not easy to get another job if a resort fires you.
I have been to the Cancun area several times. I have seen drunk kids being picked up by the police outside of bars, and I know they aren't 18. I also witnessed a bartender being fired for serving an underage young lady. That was sad, because he was a damn good bartender.
So if you don't care about anyone but yourself. Give it a try.
In mexico most bars don't worry to much about your age if you are 15 and dress ok you should be able to drink in most bars but remember if you stay in a hotel the staff are more on the ball and most hotels now are allinclusive so drinking in the hotels will be difficult.
well i'm 17 and i use to go to mexico alot mostly to monterrey and you can enter the clubs there at 15 and drink also i don't know about cancun tho because i went twice but with family so i couldn't drink there.i don't think it's really different tho in cancun.
Your basically form of id is your passport. in case you get caught, the adults on your crowd would be in deep doo doo. The bartender of broker from the save, etc is in difficulty. Can loose his license and his interest. maximum won't take a gamble so as that a baby can play grown up. The bypass bar motel isn't 5 celebrity.
If you look like you could be 18 yrs old you'll most likely get away with it
