Itouch 1st gen wifi ?
My friend has an itouch also, and his internet is faster that mine, Mine has been dropped and has a case could either of these affect the wifi signal?? so what im asking is could dropping it affect the wi fi signal and could having a case on it affect the wi fi signal

Neither should effect the WiFi. If you continue having problems, I would call 1 800 APL CARE. They are Apple's over the phone technical support and will be able to help you with your issue. You could also bring your iPod into the closest Apple Store. Have them sign you up for a Genius Bar appointment, which is their technical support. They will see what they can do for you as well. I dropped my iPod Touch. Luckily, I had it in its' case. It's been working fine. Bring your iPod Touch near to your wireless router and see if the signal improves. If it does, consider placing your wireless router elsewhere.
