When the radical republicans tried to impeach president johnson, they needed 2/3 of the votes. it came down to one vote, and one senator decided to find johnson not guilty. what was his name???? please i really need it. 10 points to first answer!

Wrong. He wasn't impeached - the impeachment resolution passed in the House, but Johnson wasn't removed from office. It went to trial, there was one vote shy of 2/3 majority on each of the three votes. He was acquitted.

acutally you have it ALL wrong....that one vote found him guilty...so he WAS impeached.
