Is it possible to become a kindergarten teacher with a degree in science? I have a bachelor's in biology. I want to eventually go into medical school, but I have to pay off some loans first and straighten out my credit in order to get a loan for Med school. I'm pretty stressed out, I don't know what to do.
Update:I honestly don't know what my options are, is there a site where I can go to see what career choices I have with my degree? I would really appreciate your help.

It's possible to become a kindergarten teacher with a science degree. You'd have to take some more classes and get a certificate in early childhood education, but I don't think you'd have to have a bachelor's in education. It differs from state to state.
However, I think it would be a terrible idea for you to go into teaching if you really want to go to medical school. First, you'll have to spend even more money on the college classes required for your teaching certificate, so that's not exactly helpful. Second, it's not easy to be a kindergarten teacher, or any teacher for that matter. It seems to me that you are choosing this job to make some easy money, but there are other jobs that will pay more (at least initially) and require less training. There are many jobs out there that simply require a college degree; it doesn't matter what in. Try for one of those, and use that to get your credit straightened out. I just don't think teaching would be a good fit for you, all things considered.
In private schools you don't need to be certified. You can work there as a science teacher or kindergarten teacher for a while.
yep as long as you can convince the person who is hiring you thanks you are the bedst
