I have some kittens, that are about six weeks old. They rarely eat hard food (a few pieces a day) and every meal they eat soft canned food, followed by a bowl of KMR milk that they drink from the bowl, not from a bottle. But they have no interest in water. Would it be okay to mix the KMR with some water?

At 6 weeks of age, kittens do not need KMR and it sounds like they are getting enough nourishment from their food.
Yes, you can dilute the KMR.
I add water to my kittens wet food and make it the consistency of oatmeal. That way I know they are getting enough fluids.
My kittens do drink water.
Another idea is a water fountain for cats. It encourages the cat to drink water.
Cats don't drink a lot of water, and canned food actually contains a lot of water. They no longer need KMR, but if you still want to provide a milk product, simply get some lactose free milk at the store, and go from there. It will be cheaper. Most kittens, once weaned, become lactose intolerant.
You can gradually change the mix of milk and water to become all water.
your doing great...my young kittens...long story...liked kmr for about a week...after that i had to sneak it into their food and water...i even put a pinch of sugar in it to get them to drink it...i changed from power to liquid...didn't work...at eight weeks old i realized they eat more canned kitten food and drink more water without the kmr....so yes you can mix, but as long as they will drink the kmr the better...best wishes to all.
theyll drink the water when they get thursty
also they tend to wait till no ones looking before they drink or eat. dont ask why
