Ladies were any of you ever chosen as the grandest lady in the Easter Parade?
In your easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it,
You'll be the grandest lady in the easter parade.
I'll be all in clover and when they look you over,
I'll be the proudest woman in the easter parade.
On the avenue, fifth avenue, the photographers will snap us,
And you'll find that you're in the rotogravure.
Oh, I could write a sonnet about your easter bonnet,
And of the girl I'm taking to the easter parade.

Dolores in an Easter bonnet
Could inspire the sort of sonnet
Shakespeare would eschew
With a flourish I would don it
"Kiss Me Quick" in rhinestones on it
Fred Astaire would sue
Frankly my dear, I don't even recall seeing an easter parade since the 1960's. In the US, Easter isn't even considered a holiday any more. Aside from the Civil Servants and Professionals that don't work on Sundays anyway, everything else is still business as usual. Retail has managed to kill all the holidays for American families, except Christmas. I'm sure big box will find a way to kill that next. They already killed Thanksgiving and claim people only shopped more because of it. Funny...When we still had blue laws and holidays for the rich and poor alike, there were still family values. I can't believe how sad the world has become in my lifetime.

No never, but that's because the Easter bonnet parades here are usually for children.
I remember making them in school and parading thru the hallways :)
