So I got a refurbished Compaq laptop recently, and it's been running fine until now. I turned it off normally without any problems I when to the store, after I got back, I turned it on and everything was going normal and I tried opening Internet Explorer, but the whole screen went black for a few seconds, then to white, and I cannot do anything at all on it, why might it be acting this way?
Update:Forgot to mention, it was a gift, so I can't really refund it or exchange it.

Take it back, or you could try to reinstall the operating system, and drivers.
But I suggest take it back, it may be to old.
Take it back and tell them that video card partially burned out,
I've seen this happening.
It start acting up when it heats up. Occasionally laptop comes to shop where I work that have a connection issues. Especially dell. I suppose it's a certain way people carry the laptop while it's open and they need to go somewhere, they grab it by the side between keyboard and a screen and carry it... There is a screen connector under the plastic panel that sometimes pops partially off.
Since you just bought it just take it back and ask for a refund or exchange
Your dad could desire to be observing porn after which deleting his background afterwards. He is often chatting with somebody he's no longer meant to be chatting with (hint hint). or according to threat he in simple terms would not want you staring at what he's doing on the computing gadget. i understand i attempt to conceal the show screen from human beings even however I even have no longer something to conceal. it fairly is a privateness component.
