Manzanita Lake Campground is the largest in Lassen National Park. It's the only one open all year. The lake itself is spectacular, with awesome views of Mt. Lassen. It also has a grocery store and showers. Reservations are probably not required.
The North and South Summit Lake Campgrounds are popular. There can be a lot of mosquitoes in early Summer, but they should be OK by now.
When I was there in July, the Lassen Peak Trail was closed due to construction Monday-Friday, so I did an awesome hike to the top of Brokeoff Mountain.
