Marriage problems on Elder Scrolls: Skyrim?
Previously before wanting to get married I had a possible spouse following me as a follower. She died in combat and when I went to get married, she appeared dead in the Temple of Mara and it said FAILED and everyone left. I am just wondering if there is a way to get married even though my follower died??? I really don't understand why it would matter if a FOLLOWER died regardless of the fact that she is a marriable person in the game??? Can I not get married now??? Please inform me. Thanks. :)

That's a known bug. Hopefully the patch this week will clear it up. If you can reload a previous save and try again that worked for me.There is also a work around although I've never tried it. 1 move the corpse of your dead folllower away from the temple. 2 wait a little bit and you will be able to apologize to the priest and your fiance and do the ceremony again. Like I saidi never tried it so I can't say how well it works to get around the bug.

It could have been:
- an affair
- having been separated by a long distance for lengths of time
- conflict
- behavioral issues or psychological problems of one spouse
- even unmanaged addictions.
Whatever of these problems may be what is seen on the surface, the bottom line is that usually, barring any abuse or psychological problems that are best handled by a professional, a couple find themselves in danger of divorce when there is a loss of:

in the marital relationship.
