which is a better choice for an apartment dog? a miniature pinscher or frenchie bulldog?
I have owned dogs before (so I have plenty of dog experience) but I have never had either of these specific breeds.
I have done some reading on both though, and both are appealing to me. I am getting my first apartment and plan to adopt one of these .
( my apartment has a park nearby and I would take the dog for walk daily ).
And while I know each individual dog (and their individual personalities) differs, I would prefer one that does not bark ***EXCESSIVELY***.
( I grew up with a daschund and he would bark constantly at absolutely nothing!)
So I'd prefer dog that is still is intelligent and compact, but that is a little less vocal. ;)
which of these two would be the better choice?
thank you
Update:p.s. - this would be my only pet in my apartment. I am a writer and illustrator, so I do most of my work from home. so the dog would never be alone for an extended period of time.

This is just what I've seen, I haven't owned either.
Minpins can be quite vocal - they're quick to learn, but more energetic, and inclined to voice their displeasure, especially at being left alone.
Frenchies can have more demanding health concerns - but are more laid back, and considerably less prone to being vocal and "nervy".
If you don't mind brushing every 1-2 days, I'd actually be more inclined to suggest something like a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - which thrives on company but doesn't tend to be noisy, and as long as you can play a bit and take it out for a decent walk, should be quite happy in your space.
The Minpin will certainly be more "intelligent" as far as engaged with you trainable, etc. The Frenchie, however, will be much less vocal.
Have you considered a Boston Terrier? That might be the happy-medium best of all worlds.
Also, by a "walk once a day" I hope you mean one LONG walk a day but that the dog gets a short "potty break" walk at least every 4 hours throughout the day.
frenchie bulldog.
Less vocal and more of an apartment dog.
The min pin on the other hand can be vocal and should have a fenced in area where it can run around and burn off some of it's energy.
Good Luck!
Frenchie - no reason just seem to like them better - seem more laid back.
