I would like to study physics at the MIT. What are the entrance requirements? As I am an Italian citizen, I would like to know what "maturità" score is required to be admitted (the "maturità" is the final examintaion in Italian high school. I do not know wherever the final score is important). I have also been told that no language exam is asked to foreign applicants any more.
Furthermore, what are the annual fees? I would also like to know if it is possible to get a loan or something similar to help a student to pay for the university. Thanks.

You will find the admissions requirements for MIT at this site:

This site is for international students who wish to be admitted to MIT:

Non-native English speakers have two options, which MIT considers equivalent:
Option 1: SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT Plus Writing; and two SAT Subject Tests: one in math (level 1 or 2), and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m).
Option 2: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language); and two SAT Subject Tests, one in math (level 1 or 2) and one in science (physics, chemistry, or biology e/m). This option is especially recommended for students who do not speak English at home or in school, or who have been speaking English for fewer than five years.

You will need to take TOEFL and two SAT Subject Tests, including Math II and a science subject. You will need to score above 700 on the Subject Tests. As an alternative to TOEFL you can take the SAT Reasoning Test. MIT is very competitive, especially for foreign students. About 8 from India get accepted each year. Most of them have done research with top scientists and won several national and international math and science olympiads and other competitons. You should also demonstrate interest outside studies, have hobbies, done community service and held some leadership positions. As far as the 80% marks are concerned, it could be fine as long as long as you are in the top 1 or 2%. Different schools have different grading standards. The staff at MIT will know the context of your grades.
