Multiplayer Minecraft?

Ok, so I found that you can play Minecraft online for free. Me and my brother want to play on the same game, so I clicked the option "Multiplayer" and then there wasnt anything else. He is on my laptop and I am on a desktop computer. I typed in his user name in "Server Name" and in "Server address" but nothing works! HELP!

first u need a server to play on in order for both of yee to play in multiplayer

search up on google minecraft servers for example: server ip:192.425.213

if you find a server put in the ip adress in the server address bar then get your brother to do the same and then connect yee will both be in a server but they will be other people their too

make sure to find a decent server cause most of them are terrible

and you can make your own servers but i wouldnt recommened it since you can get a virus

Try using a public server by looking up "public minecraft servers" and you will be provided by something called a server ip. Type in the server ip in the server address area on your minecraft and name it whatever you want in server name. Make sure you aren't using the same account because then it is impossible, otherwise HAVE FUN....

50.23.67.144 25584 is an ex of a ip address, try using this server and see if it works

That is a server that is amazing... By the way u must buy minecraft if u r to play on a server. Same for ur brother
