She drove out to Utah a few days ago and won't be back for another 2 weeks but her dad stayed behind and then her dog just suddenly died. I asked her if there was anything I could do and she said fly out there but she didn't think that would happen. I don't have that kind of money to dispose of an I feel really bad. I loved that dog as well and have 2 of my own. What to I say or do?

Find a spot, dig a hole and bury the dog. Make a tombstone for it and write or carved something on it. Then just be there for your friend. No need to worry. Small matter.
Why do you need money to dispose? Not sure where you live but surely there's a park or garden right? I wouldn't give a damn about illegal digging. Just dig a hole and bury the dog. Good way to remember him with. :) Don't get caught though. Good luck!
Is'nt it sad when a pet dies and what to say is only that the dog is no longer suffering and is at peace. Also your friend must take heart in how good she was to her dog so she has no recriminations just lovely memories.
I wish her well and I have given you a link that perhaps you might like to send onto her. You have no money but phone and chat to her and tell her it's OK to cry.

I feel your pain. It sounds like she understands your situation. Just tell her as much as you love her & the dog, it's impossible for you to be there. . Are you saying the dog is w/her or back home? If the dog is w/her, she'll have to bury the dog there. If not, perhaps you can bury the dog & hold services when she gets home.
Just be there for her so on the end of the phone will help your friend .
That's sad.
