Lately I've had a lot of trouble starting my car. I want to say its a 1994 or right around there. When I get it going down a hill and pop the clutch and all that I can jump it. I don't always happen to park going down hill though. For a while it would die at totally random times but for the past few days its been acting up and wouldn't start at all yesterday or today. I have no idea what it could be? I know almost nothing about cars so any help will be greatly appreciated. People have told me it could have to do with the fly wheel, which is too expensive for me to replace right now, or the starter. Where is the starter? Also, whenever it dies and I try to jump it with another car it does nothing so maybe its a bad battery? I have no idea what the problem is?

if the battery is old then have it checked and need be have it changed, if you bring it to a good shop ask them for a electrical evaluation , battery, starter amps/condition and alternator charging status. look for some one who has a dial avr meter
Sounds like you need a new alternator, describing the starting problems. Best bet is to take it to a mechanic, with a friend that knows something about cars, so you don't get ripped off. A god honest mechanic will at least tell you what the real problem is, and then you should be able to fix it for you then. I know it seems this answer isn't much, but you have allot of info, that cn go any way for diagnosis. Good luck, and hope you can get it fixed soon.
try to get it to advance auto for free check of battery/alternator/starter...has the 1994 or so been tuned up since 1994 or so?
verify the + and - verify they are stable and sparkling and that the top of the wires are no longer exhibiting corrosion.it fairly is a foul connection or undesirable battery have the battery load examined yet even then it may try stable and nevertheless have a lifeless cellular.next time try leaping it off yet another motor vehicle if it starts off ceremony away then try a sparkling battery.
remove the cables and clean them then recharge the battery and see how it does.
9 times out of 10 it's the battery cables
your starter is the little thing with the pulley ran by the belt. it'll be the only part like that with a big pack/s of copper wires inside visible from the outside of it's case... have your battery and starter checked at autozone. they're pretty cheap about it. good luck
