Okay, so Friday was my first day at a new high school and I really like it but my fourth period is drama and my teacher told me that everyone in the beginnning of the year sang a song by theirself in front of the entire class Okay I am an outgoing person in my old high school I was popular and I have a lot of friend so don't think I am some nerd or anything But when I do that kind of thing in front of people I like start sweating and Ifeel like I am going to cry I know it's stupid but I dont know what to do I mean I am fine speaking in front of large crowds even with people that I dont know. But not singning People have told me before that I am not a bad singer but I really do not want to sing in front of 30 high school kids that I dont know, and If I were to sing I dont want to risk the chance of embarrassing myself by turning like red and sweating and freaking out in the front of every 1 On monday how should I put it to my teacher that i dont want to sing Please answer soon

Just tell her you are NOT comfertable singing. That's really all you can do. Try to say it before or after class, sometime when you can talk to her alone. Teachers seem to always be more open and understanding when you get the nerve to talk to them one on one. She can't really force you to sing.
Don't worry i know how you feel on the singing subject...I'm really good at talking in front of people but i get really really nervous when i sing in front of a bunch of people even though a ton of people have told me I'm really good..i start to shake(the whole shebang)...I have a few things that might help, the first would be you could explain how you feel to your teacher or you could do it and get it over with quickly, i mean think about it i bet a bunch of those kids that had to sing in front of the class at the beginning of the year where bad singers(considering its a drama class and not choir) what i try to do when i have to sing in front of people is to kind of space out in a way and pretend their not there etc... and if that doesn't work, you could try instead of looking at the people you could stare straight at a wall or something just focus on that one thing...Good Luck!
You can just write a note to the teacher that its against your religion to sing......or just tell her that your not comfortable singing and that you really don't want to.....Good Luck hype you find your answer!!
