I know that's it's normal for a baby girl to have discharge and a little blood like a period because of the hormones I pass to her, but she has what appears to be mucus coming out of her vagina. Is this normal or should I call the doctor? She just went to the doctor yesterday and I didn't mention this because it only started happening last night.

This happened to my daughter i asked her doctor and she said it was normal it was just the baby's reaction to getting all of the hormones out of her from when she was inside mommy..it should go away in a couple days if it doesnt then call your doctor and have it checked out

My little girl had this at about 4 weeks the hospital said it would probably happen before possibly within the first week they said. They said it was because she was still being effected by the hormones i produced when i was carrying her. I didn't worry to much but did check with the midwife. It only happened that once.
go ahead and call if you're worried about it, but my daughter did the same thing, and my doc said it was completely normal!
I had heard this is totally normal anyways check with the doctor!
