newfie (newfoundland) slang?
I thought my coworked called someone a 'fag' but he says he called him a 'fang' which he says is Newfie slang. I couldn't find anything online to support this so I'm hoping someone here can confirm.

It's no slang I've ever heard before, and I can't find a reference to it online, either. My friend from Newfoundland thinks your coworker really did say 'f@g' and made up the 'fang' explanation thinking you wouldn't question him or bother investigating it.
