His contract is up at the end of the year. Also, I agree with 24HRS. They are going to go hard after Hamilton. After he put on a show at the home run derby in 08, he would be a perfect hitter for that stadium. Nick Swisher will probably be the Yankees Plan B option. Personally, I think Nick Swisher is very underrated they would also sign him for a much cheaper contract then Hamilton.
His contract ends at the end of the season. I think they're planning on keeping him at the moment, unless someone better comes up. He hits for a decent average, and usually has a good on base average because of his good patience at the plate. He's had some web gem catches and throw-outs, and he's a fun guy who gets the job done. So i think they'll keep him unless there's someone better on the market. Money isnt an issue for the Yanks so we'll have to see

Swisher and the Yankees have bond.
Without him we're just fools in pinstripes.
He's an FA this year, and the word in the circuit is that he won't be back, there are other (cheaper) alternatives.
They'll probably let him go so they can spend all their money on all the best players that are free agents
