You will need to get into a Bachelors degree nursing program (4 years). You will then need to pass the N-CLEX RN (state exam). You will then be able to start applying for RN positions but don't be surprised if a NICU doesn't hire you right away; it is a specialty field and they don't hire too many new grads. Try to find a med-surg position to get the experience and then apply for a NICU later on, much easier that way.
