I am trying to have my Nintendo 64 display from my TV and through my computer at the same time. So I can play off of a crt TV and record/stream with my computer. I need some sort of splitter but when I search splitter I get something different. I need a rca from the console to some sort of device, and from that device 2 rca cords. One going to a TV. And the other going to an HDMI converter for my computer. What would this device be called. Or is there a better way?

Use a "composite video distribution amplifier".
Do Not use a plain Y cable.
You need a 1-to-2 composite video splitter.
You can buy one from any cable specialty store like Monoprice, or Amazon (who also carries Monoprice cables & accessories.)
Alternatively, you need 3 Y-connectors that have female-to-female connectors. Connect each of your N64 RCA cables to the single side of the Y. Now connect the computer and TV cables to each of the arms. Just make sure you match the color of the cable from end-to-end.
E.g: yellow cable (N64) -> Y-connector -> yellow cable (TV) & yellow cable (computer.)
This is essentially a homemade splitter :-) Normally you wouldn't want to do this due to signal loss but the cable lengths you're dealing with are short enough that you shouldn't notice any problems.
