I have a 2001 Nissan Sentra and noticed that a metal "strap" towards the front of the car is rusted and dragging. (making a really fun noise :). What ever the strap is holding up is fine. There is no change in the way the car is running and was just in the shop last month haveing a new alternater put in. A week before Christmas I have no cash to fix this or have the car looked at. What could this be? What is the urgencey? I have a cell phone and AAA is this something that can wait a month or two?
Thanks for your help!

That metal strap is probably a chassis ground from underneath the hood. It must not be imperative to your car's operation so I would say you can probably wait to have it repaired. Good luck.
