His most important point was the US and Europe need eachother to face the challenges and that people are people everywhere and we should strive towards a world where peace based on respect is the norm.
"People of Berlin - and people of the world - the scale of our challenge is great. The road ahead will be long. But I come before you to say that we are heirs to a struggle for freedom. We are a people of improbable hope. With an eye toward the future, with resolve in our hearts, let us remember this history, and answer our destiny, and remake the world once again." was a line I'll surely remember.
No. He pandered to a distant places crowd and have been given distant places reaction -- all with reason of advertising it to the yankee cameras. however the statements that he made -- insinuations that the yankee defense force tortures prisoners, that us of a owes an apology to the international and needs to precise its wrongs for the duration of the final century -- does no longer bypass over properly with a crowd in Ohio. So i could guess he did no longer get very nearly as great a reaction for that speech in Ohio as he have been given in Berlin....
