You probably won't like my suggestion. Does you high school have a basic math for 9th graders who need a better foundation in working those types of problems? Talk to that instructor and see if you can have some help with basic math. I think that's what's dragging you down. I know it would take extra time to do this, but I'm certain it would help decrease the amount of time you're spending on algebra.

My other suggestion is to put a typical problem on here and ask for help with the steps in solving it. Then try to apply what is said to working other similar problems. If you run into another issue, post it on here again.

No, just make up your mind to kick algebra'sass. I was the same way. I hated algebra. I was bad at it. I had a great teacher, even, but numbers are just not my thing. Now, there are certain problems I can't solve without algebra, like percentages. I can't figure percentages without using algebra. You'll get it!
