i have Osgood Schlatter mostly in my left knee. im a 15 year old cross country runner and the season is going to be starting in less than one month. we have little "practices" a couple times a week before the season actually starts...which really help me get into shape. the only bad thing is, my condition is resulting in me limping[and really hurting]after only running about a mile. i was wondering......should i rest my leg until the season starts or just continue running and suffer through the pain???? ALSO-what are some temporary "treatments"(besides icing and Advil) that may help calm the pain? THANKS FOR ANY HELP! :)

I have had it (not dramatically but i still had it) and i got this knee guard thing. it had a horseshoe like pad on it and i just wore it when i played sports and it stopped hurting. i would try looking online.i hope this helped at all but yeah it worked for me.
