How do you explain this to someone who doesn't know anything about this?
Are all witches pagans? Does witch go under pagan or vise versa?
I don't get any of it and I need it all broken down.
Thank you!:)

A Pagan is someone who does not follow the Abrahamic religions. Pagan stems from the latin word 'Paganus' meaning 'country dweller'. It became a popular word to describe those people who lived in the country and thus did not 'hear the word of god' until much later, as opposed to their city-dwelling counterparts.
Pagan is now an umbrella term (much like 'Christianity') to describe a number of faiths.
A Witch is not someone who is 'demonic' or 'a beautiful woman'. a Witch is someone who seeks to live in harmony with nature and understands the subtle energies in nature. A Witch is also someone who practices magic which is defined as 'causing change in accordance with will'. Some only use magic in a positive way, while others may use magic in a negative way as well.
Not all Pagans are Witches and not all Witches are Pagans.
Ok... well these ides do not go hand in hand... sorry to tell you but don't worry it's not too complicated.... Witches are people who practice some sort of magic... you have satanic magic (this falls under the mythology of Christianity. This type of magic is thought to be evil and satin worship... The next kind of witch is the pagan witches.... Not all pagans are witches... pagan "magic" is more of a nature/ meditation based magic that focuses on one's health more than any thing. If it helps you can think of one as being dark magic and the other being light magic, or good and evil... However satanic magic focuses on tangible results while pagan magic is more of a way of thought.... here is a Venn diagram to help you out...

Witchcraft is a magical practice. Paganism is a *very* broad category of religions. Any non-Judeo-Christian religion is pagan, although people who describe themselves as pagans are generally a subset called neopagans. Wiccans and Drids are neopagans (and, thus, also pagans). Hindus are technically pagans, but they are not neopagans (they've been around for 1000s of years) and they don't appreciate being called pagans.
One does not require the other. Many witches also hold pagan religious beliefs, but certainly not all. And the majority of pagans do not consider themselves witches.
Are all witches pagans?
No.
Paganism is a category of religions. Witchcraft is a craft available to anyone of any religion.

Not all pagans are witches
Not all witches are pagan.

There are Christian witches just like there are pagan witches, and I'm sure there are atheist witches, and witches who follow many other religions c:
Witches do not belong anywhere in Christianity. They are all pagan. Some witches think they can mix it all in with Christianity, but it does not work.
Don't involve yourself in that hidden form of Satanism, where the powers come from and seek the Lord, instead. He has much better things.
