I have had a small umbillical hernia that barley shows in my belly button. I went to the doctor about a year ago and he said to watch it and if it hurts or changes come back. Well, its almost been a year now and no problems. However, this past week for about 3 days I felt like my stomach was really upset and a full/empty feeling and had a change in my bowel movements. After the 3 days that pain went away and in place of that I have pain when I press right below/on the bottom edge of my belly button. This only hurts when I push around on it. It is not a sharp or bad pain but I def know it is there when I press.. since then I my bowels have stayed the same with some hard time getting it out but not to bad. Because of this pain I went back to my doctors office but saw a new doctor. he took a look at the hernia and said the same thing that the other doctor said.. It is very small and that is not what is causing the pain. He proceeded to tell me I have a strained muscle.. possibly from the constipation/straining to use the bathroom, or my job. Do you think I should get another opinion? I am worried that something is being overlooked in there?
