Hello,
I have noticed that my daschund doesnt like me to look at her teeth at all. She has an overbite, and a few years back she got into a fight with another dog and lost a tooth because of it a few months ago I saw that she had just lost the front tooth next to the missing one and I have noticed that she has a really bad odor for a while now and have just figured out that it is her breath. Her gums are red and she has a lot of plaque in and around her teeth. I started researching and fear that she may have paridontals disease. Money is very tight right now, but the last thing I want is for her to be in pain so I made an appointment with the vet to have her teeth cleaned. I know it is impossible to tell without looking at her, but what do you think the outcome could be? I feel so stupid and horrible for not noticing this sooner!!! The thing is, she is such a happy little dog and always jumping around and in a good mood and her eatting habits haven't changed, she still has quite an appitite and chomps away at her hard dog food. Also, she is about 6 years old.
Any info, suggestions, or help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much!!

Excuse me? Dogs aren't allowed to "like" or dislike *anything* their owners demand.
Yeah,it's got crappy teeth...you're doing something about it. Cleaning, maybe extraction...antibiotics....
What's the problem?
