I read a poem in my 11th grade English book about everyone having a different "golden age", like someone's might be the 1920's, while someone in the 1920's might have thought the golden age was the 1550's. I think the poem began with an M, but i'm not sure. Any help is appreciated

It sounds like a synopsis of Woody Allen's movie "Midnight In Paris" from 2011.
