Hey guys
I am studying in Aalborg, Denmark next semester for study abroad and want to get a local Denmark number for connecting with new friends and to call home to the usa with. And I have a question regarding pre paid sim cards? Should i buy one before i enter the country or while I'm in Denmark? And in both cases, where should i buy one?And I've also heard i wont be allowed to purchase a prepaid SIM card in Denmark without a CPR number (basically a Social Security number). Do you know if this is true?
Thanks!

You can get a sim card just go into most train stations, there are plenty of places you can get them from, most of the Asian stores have cards even the grocery stores, just go to the place they sell newspapers/tobacco.
You dont need a CPR number, or any ID. If you are flying to Denmark leave it until you can go to a normal store not one in the Airport, they normally are more expensive. you will need to make sure your phone will accept another sim card (get it unlocked if you have a contract phone or fixed to a single provider).
Phone calls in Denmark are not that expensive, but they will hammer you once you call out of the country.
If you are going to study don't forget Skype, assuming you are bringing a laptop/computer.

Denmark Sim Card
You don't need any kind of ID to get a pre paid cellular sim card in Denmark.
The best would be to wait until you arrive in Denmark.
The best option is to get a sim card from Lebara Mobile. It is cheap, and you can top up with / buy prepaid minutes for international phone calls, in addition to the prepaid calls within Denmark.

Would recommend getting a local sim card in Thailand and topping up when needed. Roaming charges can be very expensive.
na u should be able to just buy one
