I have read that they are normal from months 7-9. I have started getting backaches from month 4 and I am less than a week away from my 6 month. Has anyone else gotten them this early? I have read to elevate your feet for some relief, but I haven't had one since I read that to try it out. I have used a heating pad as well.

I've been getting backache from before 5 months, my midwife said it was normal as all the muscles are relaxing to make room for the baby and the birth and in turn moving around in uncomfortable ways. It feels like my spine and pelvis don't line up anymore and my spine is bent the wrong way, the pain is mostly around the back of my hips. Whenever i sit down i have to have a cushion or something propping up my back and my hot water bottle helps.
I have been getting these stupid backaches since my 5th month. And I am SO tired of it. Nothing I have tried works, except laying down. But even that starts to hurt. I feel like crying because it is so bothersome
every book ive read has said not to use heating pads when ur pregnant... but ive had really bad back aches where i could barely walk from months 4-6... then i left state n they disappeared completely until i got on the plane to come back here...the closer i got, the worse the pain got... i think its got alot to do w/stress
Warm clear baths at night may help with this. G
